Bayern Munich tried to catch Arsenal off guard with a quick restart from a throw-in whilst nine Gunners players were having a drinks break on the touchline.
Play in Wednesday night’s Champions League quarter-final had halted in the first-half due to a minor injury to Bukayo Saka, and many of Arsenal’s outfield stars – and some Bayern players – were having a drink, while the Gunners received instructions from Mikel Arteta.
A second-half header from Joshua Kimmich gave the German side a 1-0 win on the night, and 3-2 success on aggregate, to reach the semis against Real Madrid.
Just after 35 minutes into the game at the Allianz Arena, Bayern tried to be sneaky and take a throw-in whilst many Arsenal players were out of position, after the game had briefly paused after Saka got hit in the face with the ball.
Left-back Noussair Mazraoui sprinted towards David Raya’s goal with the ball after the unexpected move from the hosts.

Martin Odegaard was quick to react after seeing Bayern’s move during a drinks break
Martin Odegaard was on the touchline with his team-mates when he noticed the Bayern move, and tried to urge his colleagues back onto the pitch to defend.
However, the trick failed to work, with the referee quickly blowing his whistle to bring play back, to the frustration of the Bayern players.
It forced them to start the process again from the throw-in, this time with everyone back in their right places.
Some fans felt that the incident was disrespectful to Arsenal, although it is unlikely that any goal or serious positive play would have been permitted without the referee’s approval.
When sharing the final score on X (formerly Twitter), Arsenal wrote: ‘A Champions League journey to be proud of’ – but it was not a sentiment shared by everyone.
While the Gunners finished top of their group last year, some questioned the calibre of their opponents, as well as the narrow victory over Porto in the last-16 on penalties.
