Gold is rising and approaching the $2,400 level
Capitals, April 19, 2017 – Gold prices rose during today’s trading, continuing their rise towards record levels, the highest ever, approaching the $2,400 barrier.
By 11:24 am UAE time, the yellow metal rose by 0.45%, or $10.06, to reach $2,391.62 per ounce.
Gold contracts, for delivery in June 2024, increased by 0.22%, or the equivalent of $5.35, to reach $2,403 per ounce.
In terms of other precious metals, silver rose by 0.5% to $28.52 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.68% to $955.9, and palladium rose by 0.15% to $1,033.78.
