1,000 experts participate in the first conference on teaching the Arabic language and Islamic studies in Dubai

Dubai, April 20 / WAM / The first conference on teaching the Arabic language and Islamic studies, organized by the Dubai College School today, with the participation of 1,000 experts in the Arabic language and a number of prominent figures in the field of education and culture from various parts of the Arab world, discussed the latest advanced methods and ways of integrating… Technology in education, such as the use of interactive applications and virtual reality.

The conference was attended by Her Excellency Aisha Abdullah Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, and a large number of teachers, academics, and educational leaders, who participated in discussion sessions and scientific workshops aimed at raising the efficiency of teaching Islamic studies and the Arabic language to native speakers or non-native speakers and expanding its scope.

The conference witnessed more than 65 sessions, seminars and workshops that highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in exchanging experiences and resources, in order to enhance the language skills of teachers and learners from different cultures and backgrounds.

His Excellency, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, said in her opening speech at the conference, “These school meetings and initiatives constitute a positive opportunity to share experiences and build networks of cooperation at various levels. We thank the Dubai College team for this good initiative, which reflects the importance and status of education.” And learning Islamic studies and the Arabic language in all of our lives. We also appreciate the efforts of the male and female teachers of the Arabic language and Islamic studies in our schools for their efforts in serving our Arabic language and Islamic culture, which spreads tolerance, giving, love, and peace. We look forward to achieving more with their commitment, passion, dedication, and care for our students.”

She added, “Our goal is to achieve excellence in teaching Islamic studies and the Arabic language in our schools, and for Dubai to be a global model to be emulated in applying quality standards for teaching and learning Islamic studies and the Arabic language, based on the importance of establishing them in the lives of emerging generations. I look forward to enhancing the positive participation of all elements of the educational community in “Foremost among them are parents.”

She expressed her support for all school efforts regarding Islamic studies and the Arabic language, and the distinguished initiatives of private schools, their leaders, male and female teachers, and parents.

The conference activities resulted in recommendations for developing curricula for teaching the Arabic language and introducing advanced technological methods into the educational process. The conference also contributed to expanding the horizons of regional and international cooperation to exchange experiences and resources between attendees and participants, which enhances the unification of efforts towards achieving effective and sustainable teaching of the Arabic language.
