Bogota – Colombia, April 20 / WAM / The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE signed two memorandums of understanding with the Federation of Colombian Chambers of Commerce and the National Association of Businessmen in the Republic of Colombia, with the aim of enhancing investment and trade opportunities between the two countries and establishing a joint business council.

The two memorandums of understanding with the Colombian side come within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries that was recently signed and aims to launch a new era of fruitful cooperation and joint economic growth, in a way that achieves more trade and investment prosperity for both the UAE and Colombia.

The two memorandums of understanding were signed by His Excellency Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing the Federation of Emirates Chambers, His Excellency Freddy Restrepo, Executive Vice President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce in Colombia, and His Excellency Paula Buendia, Executive Vice President of the National Association of Businessmen in Colombia.

His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Federation of Emirates Chambers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, confirmed that the two memorandums of understanding support the national trends towards achieving the goals of the comprehensive economic partnership between the UAE and Colombia, and provide the opportunity to exchange knowledge experiences to achieve more trade and investment cooperation between the two business communities, in a way that contributes to advancing the wheel of economic cooperation between the UAE and Colombia.
