A 5.6 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of Taiwan

Taipei, April 21 / WAM / An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the area off the coast of Hualien County, eastern Taiwan, today, and there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
According to the Taiwan Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean, 55.9 kilometers southeast of Hualien County, and at a depth of 30 kilometers, noting that the first earthquake was followed by a smaller earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6, whose epicenter was in the sea 23.8 kilometers northeast of Hualien. .
