Egypt won 6 medals, including two gold, in the World Karate League

The curtain came down a short while ago on the “Premier League” Karate World Championship competitions. Which is currently hosted by Egypt in the main hall of the indoor hall complex at Cairo International Stadium.

  The national team succeeded in winning 6 medals, two gold, two silver, and two bronze.

 

Abdullah Mamdouh, the national team player, won the gold in the -75 kg kumite after defeating Turkey’s Faruk Omar Yurur in the final. With a score of 5/3.

 

While Janna Ali won the gold in the 50 kg kumite after defeating Kazakhstani Moldir Zahnbayyarbay in the final with a score of 9/0.

 

Youssef Badawi won the silver in the -84 kg kumite after losing to the Jordanian player Muhammad Al-Jaafari in the final match with a score of 12/3.

 

While Taha Tariq won silver in the +84 kg kumite weight, after losing in the final match to Saudi Sanad Sufyani with a score of 5/4.

 

Youssef Farag won bronze in the -75 weight category. Kumite, after his victory over his Japanese counterpart, Yusei Sakiyama, with a score of 2/1.

 

The second bronze came to Hazem Mohamed in the +84 kg competition, after his victory over Algerian Hussein Dikhi. With a score of 0/8.

 

The World League Championship is considered one of the qualifying stations for the Cairo 2025 World Championship, which the International Federation is promoting by placing the slogan “The Road to Cairo 2025” In all Premier League tournaments organized over a period of two years.

 

He participated in the Premier League Cairo 2024,  About 385 male and female players representing 59 countries around the world, and 26 male and female national team champions participated in Egyptian karate.
