Algeria is discussing with the International Labor Organization enhancing bilateral cooperation

   The Algerian Minister of Labor, Faisal Ben Taleb, discussed with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Houngbo, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation with the specialized United Nations organization.

The Algerian Ministry of Labor stated, in a statement today, Sunday, that this meeting comes on the sidelines of the visit. Which is carried out by the Director-General of the International Labor Organization to Algeria at the head of an important delegation, adding that it constituted an opportunity for the two parties to exchange views on ways to enhance cooperation with this specialized international organization, and to highlight the great efforts made by Algeria with regard to promoting decent work, social dialogue and protection.< /p>

For his part, Hongbo appreciated Algeria’s pioneering experience in the field of social security and social dialogue, stressing the organization’s full readiness to support and enhance this cooperation.

It should be noted that Algeria hosts the International Labor Office for the Maghreb countries. Arab League since 1967, and is linked by multiple cooperation programs with the International Labor Office.
