Social services in Sharjah launch "Safety net" To support those affected by the recent weather conditions

Sharjah, April 21 (WAM) – Today, the Sharjah Social Services Department launched the “Safety Net for Those Affected by the Weather Depression” initiative to enhance the spirit of social responsibility among individuals and institutions and support those affected by the weather conditions that the country has recently faced.

Sharjah Media City “Shams” took the initiative to respond to the initiative and register as the first government entity to join the network, which aims to open reliable channels to receive donations from individuals and the government and private sectors to help affected individuals and families as quickly as possible according to the needs of each case.

The initiative works to diversify the sources and types of donations, as you can donate in cash or to the department’s bank account, or communicate directly with the Department of Social Services on the number (0501088884) to donate food supplies, clothes, furnishings, furniture, electrical appliances, cleaning, repair and home maintenance work, and the provision of building materials, tools and health services. . The department will collect donations and distribute them according to an advanced mechanism that ensures they reach the largest percentage of those affected.

His Excellency Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Head of the Department of Social Services in the Emirate of Sharjah, said that this initiative, which was launched as a translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, complements the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah in supporting those affected by the consequences of the weather conditions that the country faced and enhances the spirit of responsibility. Community and national and community cohesion.

Al Marri praised the efforts of individuals, government institutions and the private sector who recorded the highest meanings of solidarity and cooperation in these exceptional circumstances, which had a huge beneficial impact, calling on everyone to respond to the (Aman Network) initiative and be partners in it for the humanitarian response.

In turn, Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City “Shams”, emphasized the importance of this initiative to strengthen and extend bridges of humanitarian giving between institutions and society, and to work with one hand to confront the consequences of the weather situation that the country has recently experienced, pointing to “Shams” keenness to respond to the call. Social and humanitarian duty for the public interest and to enhance the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation.
