Al-Badawi said, in a phone call with the “This Morning” program: On “Extra News” channel Today, Monday, President Sisi’s directives regarding supporting the Egyptian citizen do not only include raising the minimum wage, but also include social packages and some increases in benefits for some groups that serve society, including workers in the medical and education sectors.

 

He added that increasing the minimum wage reflects the extent of the state’s bias toward the lowest-income groups over the past few years, stressing that increasing the minimum wage always comes based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the increases are often large and rapid.

 

The Vice President of the Egyptian Labor Union continued, “The years 2023 and 2024 witnessed an increase in the minimum wage, which is in line with the existing inflation rate, which reflects the extent of President Sisi’s interest in the lowest categories.” income,” stressing that increasing the minimum contributes significantly to stability and providing comfort to the Egyptian worker, which leads to improving the quantity and quality of production.
