UN official: "Dubai Humanitarian" A center that supports the more efficient flow of relief materials to the world

DUBAI, April 22 / WAM / Alex Marianelli, Director of the Global Supply Chain Support Center at the World Food Programme, praised the efforts of Dubai Humanitarian Center, formerly the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, in enhancing the safety and security of humanitarian centres, and also hosting the largest global humanitarian centre, Supports the more effective and efficient availability and flow of relief materials globally.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the global meeting of the International Humanitarian City in Dubai to reveal its new identity, “Dubai Humanitarian,” Marianelli said that humanitarian operations have developed with “Dubai Humanitarian” for nearly 20 years, and are still growing. All international organizations working in the field of humanitarian work are proud of this partnership with Dubai Humanitarian Affairs.

The UN official pointed to the financial contributions and grants provided by the United Arab Emirates to humanitarian agencies, including the World Food Programme.

He explained that the World Food Program is expanding the scope of its global program and supply chain operations with direct support from the Dubai government through its partnership with Dubai Humanitarian Affairs, with the program providing assistance in administrative procedures.

He pointed to the strenuous efforts of Dubai Humanitarian Affairs in the process of digital transformation and technological solutions, enabling the World Food Program to work closely in the region, as well as receiving all types of logistical support from the UAE government.
