"Presidency hybrids" Embracing the head of state’s sword "The final jump"

ABU DHABI, 27 APRIL / WAM / The presidential camels won the sword of His Highness the President, may God protect him, at the conclusion of the competitions of the annual final festival of purebred Arabian camels, “Al Wathba Finale 2024”, which was held in its 45th edition, and the curtain came down on its activities today in Abu Dhabi.

The festival was held over a period of 17 days, with the participation of the beautiful camels of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, the people of the state, and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, President of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation, and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Festival, witnessed the yearling and camel competitions of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, which were held for a distance of 8 km in the Western Camel Field in Al Wathba on the closing day of the festival.

The presidential camels dominated the open halves and the open rounds, and the presidential camel emblem succeeded in winning the title and the most precious symbols of the festival, after the “Shahiniya”, led by the veteran Mohammed Ateeq bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, was able to present the giant emblem “The Golden Sword” to His Highness the President of the State in the open rounds of the year, which is The fifth presidential sword in this year’s camel racing season.

Al-Shahiniya was able to snatch the symbol after a strong competition with the Hajin Al-Shehaniya mounts in the decisive moments and crossed the finish line in first place, achieving 11:59:08 minutes, in addition to the financial prize of 3 million dirhams.
Second place in the open year round went to “Rabda” for Hajn Al-Sheehaniya, led by the racer Salem Faran Al-Marri, achieving 12:00:05 minutes, and third place for “Dawla” for the presidential camel, led by the racer Sultan Muhammad Al-Wahaibi, achieving 12:01:03 minutes.

The talented Mohammed Ateeq bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi returned to continue his brilliance and win the second symbol on the closing day, after Shaheen Hajal presented the presidency with an open-ended rifle, in addition to two million dirhams, the value of the financial prize.

The presidential camels dominated the first three places in the open Zamoul half, and “Shaheen” was able to finish the half distance, achieving 12:12:09 minutes, and second place went to “Shaheen” led by the track player Sultan Muhammad Al-Wahaibi, achieving 12:14:00 minutes, and he came third. “Nahab” for the presidency, led by the experienced Saeed Muzaffar Al-Amiri, achieving 12:17:08 minutes.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan crowned Al-Mudhamar Mohammed Ateeq bin Zaitoun Al-Muhairi with the golden sword and rifle.

Mohammed Ateeq bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi dedicated the title and the victory to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of the Presidential Office, and the Emirati people and all fans and enthusiasts of traditional sports. In general, and camel sports in particular.

Al Muhairi expressed his happiness at the coronation, stressing that the Presidency succeeded in crowning the most valuable symbols at the end of Al Wathba with the participation of thousands of horses and elite elite in the world of camel racing in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Al Muhairi praised the continued interest of His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, pointing out that the presidential camels have kept the precious symbol in mind since the beginning of the festival this year in order to harvest mosquitoes to complete the exceptional season of the giant logo.
