The Czech Foreign Minister discusses with his Hungarian counterpart bilateral and regional cooperation

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Libavski discussed, with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjártó, during a visit to the Hungarian capital, Budapest, ways to support bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

 

Radio Prague reported International) – in its English bulletin, today / Saturday / – that " Peter Szijjártó stressed Hungary’s position of rejecting supplying weapons to Ukraine, as military supplies would prolong the war, stressing the necessity of holding peace talks.

 

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said The Czech Republic – following their meeting yesterday in Budapest – “Russian imperialism is the greatest threat to European security. Helping Ukraine defend itself is in Europe’s interest in particular.” According to him.

 

Lebavsky had stated – prior to the meeting – that it was necessary to continue the dialogue with Hungary despite the two countries’ differing views regarding the war in Ukraine.
