Biden: The protests at universities did not force me to reconsider my policies in the region!

US President Joe Biden said on Thursday that destroying public property is not a form of free demonstration, stressing that there is a right to demonstrate but there is no right to cause chaos.

In Biden’s speech regarding the protests that took place Witnessed by American universities to demand an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, Biden said, “We are not in a place that does not listen to the voice of the American people and our country is where the rule of law prevails. The college protests put the right to expression and the rule of law at stake, and both must be adhered to.”

He added:" There is no place on any college campus for hate speech and anti-Semitism… There is no place in the United States for anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and violent speech.”

He continued:" Protests must take place without violence, destruction, or hatred and within the framework of the law. The protests did not force me to reconsider my policies in the region.”

He stressed, “We must respect people’s feelings and protect their right to express them, but they must be done.” That is without violence and hatred,” he added: “ Students have the right to learn and move around campus safely without fear of being attacked.
