Egypt gets to organize the International Backgammon Championship for the first time
The Egyptian Entertainment Games Federation, headed by Ahmed Al-Bakry, received a delegation from the International Backgammon Federation, to discuss Egypt’s hosting of the International Backgammon Championship.
Ahmed Al-Bakry, President of the Egyptian Games Federation, attended Entertainment Ardaoglu, member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation and Chairman of the Organization and Administration Committee of the International Federation, and Ikovica Jovanna, member of the Organization and Administration Committee, who were received by Sameh Afifi, Executive Director, and Rehab El-Fakharani, Chairman of the Women’s Committee of the Egyptian Federation for Entertainment Games.

During the session, it was agreed that Egypt will host the International Backgammon Championship, scheduled to be held from December 2 to 8 this year with the participation of 46 countries.
This is considered The first international backgammon tournament hosted by Egypt, and Ahmed Al-Bakry, President of the Egyptian Federation for Entertainment Games, expressed his gratitude for organizing the International Backgammon Championship, and hopes that it will come out in an organized manner.
Ahmed Al-Bakry indicated that holding this tournament It comes in light of the directives of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, on the necessity of working to spread recreational games to expand the base of practice by being present in all governorates in general.
Al-Bakri hopes that the number of players will continue to increase In those games, especially since Egypt has many talents, he explained that the Ministry of Youth and Sports, headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, made plans and preparations for all teams.
