Sharjah Oil Council announces the discovery of a new gas field "Hadiba"
Sharjah, 4th May / WAM / The Oil Council of the Government of Sharjah announced the discovery of a new gas discovery in the “Hadiba” field, located north of the Al Sajaa field in Sharjah, in promising economic quantities.
The new field was discovered after the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) drilled a well in the past months, and the well will be tested in the coming period, to confirm the quantities and potential reserves of the field for development.
It is noteworthy that the “Hadiba” field is the fifth onshore field in Sharjah, in addition to the “Al-Saja’a, Kahif, Mahani and Muayed fields (converted to a gas storage field).
