The Minister of Sports is following up on the Ministry’s preparations to establish the National Teams Training Center in St. Catherine

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, made an inspection tour of the site where the training center for national teams will be established within the Great Transfiguration Project in St. Catherine. This came during the tour conducted by the Minister of Youth and Sports in South Sinai Governorate.

 

The Minister of Youth and Sports affirmed the keenness of the political leadership headed by His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to comprehensively develop the region, which will attract many tourists annually and create a development renaissance in tourism. Sports, religious and cultural, in addition to creating many job opportunities for Egyptian youth, with an emphasis on preserving the natural environment of the region.

 

Stressing the religious and cultural importance of the Great Transfiguration region, noting that it is It is considered one of the most important holy sites and it is the only place where the Lord – the Almighty – appeared to speak with our Master Moses, peace be upon him, and Egypt is honored to have this blessed spot.

 

He added that the Great Transfiguration Project is a symbol of coexistence between different religions and cultures, and will contribute to revitalizing religious and sports tourism in Egypt, to which the Ministry of Youth and Sports contributes strongly within the project, in order to develop the region, indicating that the center will be a destination for all athletes in Egypt, It will be constructed and equipped at the highest level to help champion athletes during their sporting career and improve performance.

 

The Minister of Sports concluded his speech by emphasizing the interest of state institutions in the region, which was clearly evident during the visit he made. Mr. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, visited the region last March and the great interest it receives, which is what the Egyptian state is keen on comprehensive and integrated development throughout the republic.
