The New York State Attorney General delivers smuggled antiquities to the Egyptian Consulate
In a new cooperation between the Egyptian and American authorities, in order to preserve Egyptian antiquities, the Egyptian Consulate General in New York celebrated the return of a group of smuggled Egyptian antiquities to the United States of America. The New York State Attorney General’s Office handed over the smuggled antiquities to the Egyptian Consulate General in a special ceremony, in the presence of Ambassador Howaida Essam, Egypt’s Consul General in New York, Ambassador Amal Nosair, Deputy Consul General, Counselor Sherif Al-Fakharani, Consul Dr. Amr Karim, and Consul Wael Muslim.< /p>
