Railway: Providing several ways to obtain travel tickets
The Egyptian National Railway Authority announces the availability of travel tickets for all trains through a number of different methods, in order to facilitate the public of passengers and to confront crowding in front of the ticket windows through the ticket windows at the stations Trains, electronic reservation (online) through the electronic reservation website and the official application of Egypt Railways for Android Offices available in governmental bodies and unions in some places in the Republic, and the instant payment system for booking train travel tickets through the sales agents affiliated with the two companies (Fawry – Khalis), spread throughout the Republic with 820 thousand points of sale, for all Tahya Misr trains on the network level and third-class trains ( Dynamic ventilation (air-conditioned) in Upper and Lower Egypt, in addition to 4 VIP trains in Lower Egypt, numbers 905 – 917 – 906 – 916 between Cairo and Alexandria.
The Authority also confirms the possibility of booking tickets 14 days before travel, and also allows The Authority pays with smart cards (credit cards – debit cards) through electronic payment machines (POS) to pay the value of tickets at some ticket reservation and disbursement windows, with a total of 100 machines at some stations spread throughout the Republic.
The Authority appeals to passengers to have the ticket with the passenger before boarding the train from all stations, even if the station does not have a ticket office, and to keep the ticket until the arrival station so as not to be subject to the prescribed fine. The Authority is sparing no effort to provide the best distinguished service to the passenger public, in light of The major qualitative shift in the level of service provided witnessed by this important vital facility that transports millions of passengers annually.
This comes within the framework of the modernization and development policy undertaken by the Ministry of Transport, represented by the National Railway Authority of Egypt, in its various sectors, and in implementation of the directives of the engineer team.
