Saif bin Zayed: Our armed forces are the nation’s shield, its protective fortress, and its impenetrable fence
Abu Dhabi, 5 May / WAM / Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, affirmed that our Armed Forces are the nation’s shield, its protective fortress and its impenetrable fence, the symbol of our national unity and the stubborn rock of our defense.
His Highness said in a speech on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the unification of the Armed Forces: Today we look forward with pride and honor to this solemn and precious national occasion, which is embodied by our celebration of the forty-eighth anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces, the nation’s shield, its protective fortress and its impregnable fence, which protects, preserves and records the noblest meanings of sacrifice, redemption and loyalty. On this solemn occasion, we extend our highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him. And their brothers, Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, the Crown Princes, the Deputy Rulers, and the honorable people of the Emirates.
His Highness added, saying: The anniversary of the unification of our armed forces renews in the national conscience the feeling of those bright moments that were recorded with golden ink, that blessed gesture that was written by the wisdom of the founder of our young state. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and his fellow founding leaders in their historic decision to unify the armed forces. May 6, 1976 marked the culmination of the close and indissoluble bond of brotherhood, and the raising of the banners of solidarity that brings together the people of this union in solid unity. It was and remains the most prominent, strongest, and most powerful among all other experiences at the world level, in terms of unifying the bonds of belonging, consolidating the structure of comprehensive national unity, establishing the solid foundation for economic, social, and human development, enhancing the elevation of the dear homeland, and preserving its advanced position in its region and world, so that it remains a lofty beacon of giving. A great symbol of humanity and peace.
His Highness added in his speech: On this good anniversary, we extend the highest meanings of appreciation and gratitude to the officers and members of our valiant armed forces, who remained in the covenant at the behest of the nation and its wise leadership, protecting life and treasure, making sacrifices, and carrying out the heavy burdens. We also extend all signs of appreciation and reverence to the mothers. And to the families of our honorable martyrs, whose memory will remain alive and glowing in our hearts and hearts and in the memory of the nation, we quote from their martyrdom the meanings of sacrifice and redemption, and a good example for generations, present and future.
His Highness continued, saying: This is how our country continues in the footsteps of glory and leadership, succeeding a predecessor, and we are now, thanks to God; We are living in a bright era under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.” Its title is: More achievements with unlimited ambition, and its motto is determination and renewed pledge to strengthen the position of our country and sustain its renaissance and leadership. Our armed forces will continue to have the finest modern technologies and the highest human skills, so that the UAE continues to confirm its vital role as a unified force with great influence at the regional and international levels.
This is our covenant with our dear homeland and with our wise leadership, and this is the subject of appreciation and admiration for our armed forces, the symbol of our national unity and the stubborn rock of our defense, in order to preserve the values and principles on which the United Arab Emirates was founded so that the homeland remains dear and safe, surrounded by God’s care, calling for goodness and peace, a symbol of love, and a support for all humanity. .
