"Sharjah Self Defense" Headlining the Judo Buds Festival in Fujairah
Fujairah, May 5 / WAM / The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club headlined the annual Buda Judo Open Festival, organized by the Emirates Judo Federation at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, in cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, with the participation of 220 players under the slogan “Everyone is a Winner.”
Fujairah Martial Arts Club came second, and Khorfakkan Sports Club came third.
The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club won 6 gold medals through Sultan Al Dhaheri (under 42 kg), Saif Muhammad (under 50 kg), Hassan Al Hammadi (under 60 kg), Omar Al Ansari (under 73 kg), and Youssef Muhammad (under 73 kg). Under 81 kg,” and Ahmed Al-Bannai, “over 81 kg.”
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club won 5 gold medals, won by Abdulaziz Mohammed (under 30 kg), Mohammed Abdul Karim (under 34 kg), Omar Al Awadhi (under 46 kg), Khalifa Al Yamahi (under 55 kg), and Adam Hassan (under 55 kg). 66 kg”, and the Khor Fakkan Club achieved one gold for the player Hamdan Saleh (weight under 38 kg).
At the conclusion of the festival, Mohammed Jassim, Assistant Secretary and local judo official, accompanied by Issa Bin Howeiden, member of the Federation and Chairman of the Committee of Clubs and Centers in the Eastern and Northern Regions, honored the participants and crowned the winning clubs.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, President of the Emirates Judo Federation, praised the success of the festival and directed that work be continued to build a broad base of talented people, provide all the requirements for success and motivate this group to achieve competitiveness in the game.
Al-Darai thanked all parties that participated in making the festival a success. He also thanked the president and members of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club for their continued cooperation and the efforts of the participating clubs to achieve the goals of the festival and expand the base of the game.
