Two American congresswomen: The American police’s handling of the pro-Palestine protests reminds us of"Kent massacre"

The two Democratic US Representatives, Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush, considered that the police responses to the ongoing pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses across the country were similar to the Kent State massacre on its fifty-fourth anniversary, 

She said Ilhan Omar – in a post on the X platform, reported by the American newspaper The Hill – “54 years ago, the Ohio National Guard opened fire on unarmed students at Kent State. Students have the right to speak out, organize, and protest systemic wrongs. We cannot silence those who express dissent, no matter how uncomfortable their protests may be to those in power.”

It is worth noting that four students were killed and nine injured at Kent State University in Ohio on May 4, 1970, after The Ohio National Guard opened fire on an anti-Vietnam War protest crowd. Two recent high-profile cases of violence occurred when clashes broke out between police
