On April 22, Kendji Girac was rushed to Bordeaux University Hospital and his life was in jeopardy. He had been shot in the chest in a Traveler area in Biscarosse, in the Landes. Out of trouble in the hours that followed, he found himself and his partner at the heart of a media storm. Heard by the police a few days later, the winner of The Voice 2014 declared that he had “wanted to fake suicide”.

According to the analyzes disclosed, he was heavily drunk at the time of the events and had consumed cocaine. The Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor then declared that he would have wanted “faking suicide” to scare his partner who was threatening to leave him. A version that the main person concerned firmly contests. It was also she who called for help when she discovered her daughter’s father injured. “Kendji never blackmailed me into committing suicide, let me be clear. It never existed. I never suffered the slightest violence whatsoever from him. I am categorical. He is incapable”she declared to our colleagues at Parisian this Sunday.

Soraya Miranda then set the record straight: “I was first very afraid for his life, in shock, then stressed and incomprehension, but never angry”. “I am a woman of character, I was raised in a family where women are respected, and I would never have tolerated it being any other way.
