The Federal Authority for Human Resources organizes a workshop on the zero-bureaucracy program

Dubai, May 6 / WAM / The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, in coordination with the Prime Minister’s Office, held a special workshop on the program for zeroing out government bureaucracy, which was recently launched by the UAE government. With the aim of improving levels of government efficiency, quality and flexibility.

The workshop, which was held at the Authority’s headquarters in Dubai, was attended by His Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Authority, His Excellency Ibrahim Ahmed Fikri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, Head of the Bureaucracy Clearing Team at the Authority, team members, executive directors, department directors, and a representative team from The Prime Minister’s Office reviewed the details of the program, its axes, the procedures and requirements associated with it, the scope of its application, its impact at all levels, the criteria for evaluating the extent of government agencies’ commitment, and the stages of evaluation, leading to the announcement of the results and honors.

Her Excellency Laila Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of zeroing out government bureaucracy, in serving the UAE government’s directions towards global leadership and competitiveness, as a national business model for reaching government procedures that are simpler, faster, easier and more efficient, as it shortens and simplifies government procedures, makes it easier for customers, and raises service levels. provided to them.

For his part, His Excellency Ibrahim Fikri confirmed that the Authority has begun its first steps towards zeroing out bureaucracy, at all levels, to include “services, systems, policies, initiatives and projects…etc.,” as it formed a team, representative of all sectors and departments, concerned with studying the current situation and developing Plans and follow-up the process of implementing the bureaucracy zeroing program.

Advisor Hisham Amiri, from the government services sector, in the Prime Minister’s Office, reviewed the program’s axes and the scope of its application, considering it an important milestone in the UAE government’s journey. To improve the customer experience, eliminate unnecessary burdens and procedures, create an exceptional qualitative shift in government procedures, and be part of a series of vital initiatives launched at the state level earlier.

He said that it is important in this program to listen to the customer’s voice, address the challenges facing him, take his views, and reconsider services in a new way.

The zero-bureaucracy program seeks to simplify and reduce government procedures and eliminate unnecessary procedures and requirements.

Ministries and government agencies were directed to implement it immediately by canceling at least 2,000 government procedures, reducing at least 50% of the time periods for procedures, and eliminating all unnecessary conditions and requirements within a year. The work results will be evaluated and the best achievements will be celebrated by the end of 2024.

The program also aims to raise the level of effectiveness of government procedures issued by ministries and federal agencies, and seeks to enhance the leadership of the UAE government and its global competitiveness in government efficiency and the absence of bureaucracy, etc.
