Al-Homsani: Egypt seeks to develop unsafe areas and improve the lives of citizens

Mohamed Al-Homsani, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, revealed the details of the Prime Minister’s meeting today regarding Warraq Island, explaining that the meeting dealt with building an integrated urban community on Warraq Island.

 

He continued. During a telephone conversation with the journalist Azza Mostafa, presenter of the Tahrir Hall program, broadcast on Sada El Balad channel, Egypt seeks to develop unsafe or planned areas and provide them with services that contribute to improving the lives of citizens.

 

He added that the project includes implementing a group of integrated services, including youth centers and educational facilities, and 94 residential towers are being implemented, stressing that the projects being implemented on the island include improving services on the island.

 

He explained that the implementation rates are progressing, taking into consideration compensation for citizens or the provision of housing units for them, and they will be allocated from now to those who want to continue on the island and obtain a housing unit in the new urban community, or obtain compensation and disburse it immediately.

 

He pointed out that the state is working as much as possible to alleviate the burden on citizens with regard to reducing electricity loads, and as was the case in the first semester, there was coordination between the Ministries of Electricity and Education to take into account students’ exams by adjusting the timings of Reducing loads so as not to affect students, so that they will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the period of holding exams in schools nationwide, from 5/8/2024 to 7/20/2024, stressing that the state is working as much as possible to completely eliminate loads.
