60 Sri Lankan companies showcase their innovative approach to tourism promotion in the Arabian Travel Market

DUBAI, 8 MAY / WAM / Sri Lanka is showcasing its innovative and futuristic approach to the field of tourism, through the participation of 60 national companies specialized in destination management, tour operators and hotel partners in the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

His Excellency Haren Fernando, Minister of Tourism of Sri Lanka, expressed his country’s aspiration to attract more than 3 million tourists by the end of this year and 5 million tourists by 2030, through marketing many national brands in light of the growing tourism market after the Corona pandemic.

His Excellency explained, in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, during his presence in his country’s pavilion participating in the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition in Dubai, that Sri Lanka is famous as a tourist destination for its rich cultural heritage, picturesque natural landscapes, parks, and many events related to adventure activities.

He added that the Sri Lankan National Tourism Promotion Office’s regular participation in the exhibition aims to explore the country’s diverse tourism offerings and interact with representatives of the Tourism Promotion Office and potential partners around the world.

The Sri Lankan Minister highlighted the new slogan “Sri Lanka, coming back for more”; As Sri Lanka continues to consolidate its position as a preferred destination for travelers from the Middle East and the world, the slogan reflects the destination’s commitment to promoting innovation, enabling entrepreneurship and supporting sustainability in its tourism practices.
