China’s e-commerce logistics index rose in April

BEIJING, 8 MAY/WAM/ The e-commerce logistics index in China rose to 113.2 points during the month of April, an increase of 0.7 points compared to the previous month, exceeding 113 points for the first time since December 2019.

The Chinese Federation of Logistics and Procurement said in a report released by China Central Channel today that there was an improvement in several sub-indices, including the total business volume index, the logistics services performance index, the completion rate index, the satisfaction index, the employees index, and the direct load rate index.

The report stated that the index of the total logistics business volume for e-commerce reached 127.7 points in April, an increase of 1.3 points over the previous month. It pointed out that in rural areas, it reached 127.9 points, an increase of 0.2 points over the previous month and more than 25% compared to the period last year.
