The equestrian festival for picking pegs begins on Friday at the fields of Boudheib Academy
Abu Dhabi, 8 May / WAM / The Equestrian Festival competitions for picking up stakes will begin next Friday, which will be held on the fields of Boudheib Equestrian Academy and will continue until May 12, with the participation of clubs and stables from various parts of the country at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
The Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation explained that participants compete in individual and doubles javelin, team javelin, and individual, doubles and team saber competitions, and relay javelin and sword competitions.
He pointed out that during the tournament, the first points calculation system of its kind in the world, approved by the International Federation for Pegging, will be applied to show the results at the last second when the last rider finishes the round.
For his part, Rashid Al Mazrouei, Head of the Stakes Picking Department at the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, confirmed the completion of preparations for the launch of the festival, which is the last stop of the current season, in addition to its importance in supporting the readiness of the team’s riders before moving on to participate in the international championship scheduled in Russia next July.
