Ayman Al-Safadi, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, confirmed that Egypt is trying to prevent a massacre from occurring as a result of the Israeli ground military operation on Palestinian Rafah, and that Egypt is also trying to prevent escalation and the whole world says that the Rafah operation should not take place.< /p>

The Jordanian minister said – in a statement today, Wednesday – “In fact, the largest supporter of Israel, the United States, says that the Rafah operation should not take place, but again, The truth is that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu challenges the entire world. He ignores even his allies and continues his actions that harm all prospects for a ceasefire, drag the region into more chaos, and, once again, cause another humanitarian catastrophe.

He added, “I think the time has come for the whole world to realize that Netanyahu must be stopped, as statements and urging will not work.” It is time for Netanyahu to face the consequences. This is the moment, and this is the truth that the whole world must realize and act upon now.”

He pointed out that the photos coming from the city of Rafah Horrible and a sign of the worst yet to come, stressing that “if Netanyahu is allowed to continue the ground invasion of Rafah, this will by all accounts be another humanitarian catastrophe.”

He pointed out that The Palestinian people were expecting a ceasefire, in fact, the people of Gaza were celebrating, and Netanyahu foiled the deal by occupying the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and continuing his rhetoric that basically said that unless the deal was reached, he would go ahead and kill thousands more Palestinians.

Safadi said, “There are negotiations, and the mediators say they are close, and Netanyahu is obligated to give these negotiations a chance. Unfortunately, he has done the exact opposite, and once again, he is pushing toward Further escalation would undermine the strenuous efforts made to reach an agreement, and would clearly commit another massacre against the Palestinians.”
