Ahmed Naguib and Salwa Ehab qualify for the semi-finals of the World Paracanoe Championship in Hungary

Captain Ahmed Naguib and Salwa Ehab, players of the Egyptian Paracanoe national team, qualified for the semi-finals of the World Paracanoe Championship, which is currently hosted by Hungary and continues until May 13, and is the last qualifying station for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

 

Naguib broke the record he had previously achieved in the World Championships in Germany by a fraction of a second.

 

The Egyptian para canoe team traveled to Hungary, with a delegation that included 6 players. The players are: Captain Ahmed Naguib, Nour El-Din Ahmed Ezzat, Yassin Kamal, Omar Farag, Salwa Ihab, and Wadha Khaled.

 

They are accompanied by Mohamed Gouda, the technical director of the paracanoe team, and Ali. Hassan is an assistant coach and administrator, and the delegation is headed by Major General Ahmed Kamel, a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Canoe and Kayak Federation.

 

It is worth noting that the International Canoe Federation bears the travel expenses of two players and one coach, in support of From it to the Egyptian Paracanoe. 

 

The Egyptian Paracanoe team had prepared for the tournament in a closed camp at the Sea Scouts Club.
