Coup on the Horizon? Expert Warns of New Risks in Kiev

In a controversial development, Colonel Timur Syrtlanov, a member of the Presidential Council of the Russian organization “Officers of Russia” and a retired commander in the special forces, revealed a plot orchestrated by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) in collaboration with Western intelligence agencies to execute a political coup aimed at ousting President Volodymyr Zelensky from power.

Earlier reports had indicated the arrest of two high-ranking officers who were planning to assassinate Zelensky, both responsible for his personal security, acting under the direction of foreign handlers. This was described by the SBU as a “failure of a political coup attempt.”

According to Syrtlanov, the true goal of this conspiracy is to pave the way for replacing Zelensky, who has been accused of numerous violations and crimes against his own people, with a new figure supported by the West.

Syrtlanov added that this impending move could mark the “beginning of the end” for Zelensky’s presidency, with expectations of intense political confrontations in the days leading up to the end of his term on May 20.

Despite this sensitive political development, it appears that the Russian armed forces are not particularly concerned about internal political events in Ukraine, continuing their mission to liberate new territories.
