The world’s most prominent stars participate in the Judo World Cup in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 9 MAY / WAM / The Organizing Committee of the World Judo Championship “Abu Dhabi 2024” announced the participation of French international star Teddy Renner and the game’s most prominent stars in the competitions that will be held for the first time in the Emirates from May 19 to 24 at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.

The tournament witnesses a record participation of more than 100 countries in competitions of various weights for men and women.

Renner is the record holder for winning medals in the World Judo Championships, with a total of 14 medals, including 12 gold, a silver and a bronze.
Renner, 35, who competes in the over 100 kg category, also won the gold medal twice in a row at the 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio de Janeiro, and the bronze medal twice also at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the mixed team gold medal at the 2020 Olympics. Rio de Janeiro 2016, in addition to many gold medals in various European and Grand Slam championships.

Among the most prominent records that Reiner achieved is winning 152 fights between 2010 and 2020.

The major international tournament being held in Abu Dhabi, which was reflected in the confirmation of the most important players, both male and female, in the sport of judo, to be present in the upcoming competitions, including the international French star Teddy Renner, who has an inspiring career for all judo athletes.
