Successful conclusion of the Cairo Corporate Zone Rowing Championship
The Cairo Region Corporate Rowing Championship, which was organized by the General Corporate Sports Federation, was successfully concluded under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Secretary General of the Federation, Captain Yehia El Sayed, Secretary General of the Greater Cairo Region, and Captain Walid Abdel Moneim, Rowing Rapporteur in the Cairo Region.
6 companies and banks and 180 male and female players and employees’ children participated in the tournament. The tournament lasted over two days and witnessed various races, including 5 relay races on ergometer indoor rowing devices on the first day, and 40 Nile races using different rowing boats on the second day.
The technical meeting of the tournament was moderated by the international referee, Captain Ahmed Helmy, while the arbitration panel was chaired by Captain Mu’nis Ahmed Al-Safty.
With regard to the results of the tournament, the North Cairo Electricity Company won. in first place in the general stage, followed by Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt in second and third places, respectively. In the category of pioneers over 35 years, North Cairo Company came in first place, followed by South Cairo Company and Banque Misr. In the category of pioneers over 45 years, the South Cairo Company was in first place, followed by Banque Misr and the Eastern Company. In the category of pioneers over 50 years old, the National Bank won first place, followed by Banque Misr. In the women’s category, the National Bank won first place and the Eastern Company won second place.
