"Liwa painting" Al Dhafra is included in the Guinness Book of Records

Abu Dhabi, May 29 / WAM / The Liwa Painting, the tourist attraction bearing the name of the city of Liwa, has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest painting in the world.

The painting, which is 221 meters high and weighs 49 tons, was implemented by the Al Dhafra Region Municipality, affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, to be an aesthetic addition that contributes to enhancing the tourism sector in Al Dhafra.

The landmark is considered a new addition to the tourist attractions that characterize the Al Dhafra region, as it is located on a hill 197 meters above sea level, especially since it bears the name of the city of Liwa, which is full of castles, forts, archaeological monuments and a diverse cultural heritage.
The Al Dhafra Region Municipality confirmed that the establishment of this tourist attraction falls within the municipality’s plans aimed at strengthening the tourism sector in the Al Dhafra Region, in a way that consolidates its identity and status as one of the most prominent tourist and cultural destinations in Abu Dhabi.
