Pauline Hanson is left stunned by young Aussie girl’s incredible act: ‘That takes real courage and maturity’

A young Aussie schoolgirl has sent the internet into meltdown with a bold Book Week costume.
This week marks the 80th anniversary of the literacy celebration, where schoolchildren across Australia dress up as their favourite book characters, heroes and sporting or music role models.
One Nation Party leader Pauline Hanson isn’t a name usually associated with Book Week.
But it didn’t stop West Australian schoolgirl Tilley, 10, from dressing up as the polarising senator.
Donning a dress, blazer, heels and makeup, her costume was completed by a red wig and a ‘Please Explain’ leaflet in a nod to the senator’s most famous quote.
‘I’m truly honoured,’ Senator Hanson captioned a photo of Tilley’s outfit.
‘She’s just 10-years-old, but clearly has the guts to go against the grain and stand up for what she believes in.
‘That takes real courage and maturity. And yes, she’s nailed the red hair!

‘I told her she’s done a great job, and I’ve got no doubt she’ll grow into those shoes quicker than she thinks.
‘Thanks for choosing me, Tilley. You made my day!’
It turns out that Tilley is the daughter of One Nation WA state leader Rod Caddies.
‘My daughter is absolutely thrilled for Book Week, and she’s made the boldest choice yet, dressing up as her hero, Senator Pauline Hanson!’ the proud father said.
‘Who better to celebrate than a fearless Australian icon who stands up for what she believes in?’
Tilley has since gone viral online, where she was hailed as Senator Hanson’s successor and a future Prime Minister.
‘Absolutely love it. Tilley thinks outside the box…she will go far in life,’ one wrote.
Another added: ‘What a wonderful young girl, I bet no other politician has had that honour.’

Others saw the funny side.
‘This is going to send some teachers into a mindless meltdown,’ one quipped.
Another added: ‘I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the staffroom.’
But it didn’t stop some from questioning Tilley’s costume after Hanson recently arrived in the Senate chamber wearing an Israeli scarf in support of Australia’s Jewish community.
‘I’m sure it won’t take long for her to be manipulated by a foreign entity too,’ one commented.
Another added: ‘Forget wizards and superheroes… nothing more magical than instantly sparking outrage.’
