Wild moment hairdresser loses it at Aussie customer after she pointed out a major problem: ‘Pay and f*** off from here’

A young mum holding her baby daughter was left in tears after a Brisbane hairdresser launched a foul-mouthed tirade when she complained about her blow-dry and refused to pay.

Paige Kakahi, 24, said the salon owner in Wooloowin screamed, swore, and even threatened to call the police when she refused to pay for a blow-dry that left her hair frizzy instead of straight.

‘You don’t even have equipment for a hairdryer,’ Ms Kakahi told the salon owner, in footage filmed on her iPhone.

The owner hit back: ‘Pay and f*** off from here.’

Ms Kakahi responded: ‘What did you just say?’

The owner doubled down: ‘You heard me – don’t you have ears?’

Ms Kakahi then tried to reason with the owner.

‘I asked for it blow-dried straight – it is not blow-dried straight. You did not have the nozzle for the hair dryer – it’s curly still and now you want me to pay full price for a service that’s not properly done.’

However, the owner continued to argue with Ms Kakahi, and insisted that she had disrespected the stylist.

‘We are the ones qualified, not you. You’ve only done your hair, have you done hundreds of clients? No, right. You don’t know what it takes, right.’

Ms Kakahi tried to reason once again: ‘I’m paying you right, I’m just telling you I don’t like the way you did my hair.’

The owner fired back: ‘I don’t care, did I ask for your opinion.

‘This is my business, this is my livelihood, it is her livelihood, you do not disrespect a bloody business.

‘Don’t show that f***ing attitude – get that in your 24-year-old skull. Have respect.’

Speaking to the Daily Mail afterwards, Ms Kakahi said the owner appeared to be rushing the service as it was getting near 6pm – the closing time of the hair salon.

‘Usually, when you get your hair dried, they use a flat tip nozzle, which straightens the hair out. When she pulled out her hair dryer, it had no nozzle,’ she told Daily Mail.

‘I have curly hair and I could tell it wasn’t being straightened like I asked.

‘Her voice started getting louder and louder, then the abuse started and she was swearing and walking up to me.

‘She was making comments about my age, saying I don’t have the right to an opinion on my hair because I’m not qualified.

‘At one point she even implied I shouldn’t bring my baby to a hair salon, which I think upset a lot of mums.’

After ten minutes of arguing, Ms Kakahi’s daughter was crying, and she felt so overwhelmed that she agreed to pay the full $120.

‘She’d already come in my face and threatened to call the cops. I just wanted to leave,’ she said.

The Daily Mail has approached the hairdresser for comment.
