Wild claims Kyle Sandilands dated The Chase’s ‘Smiling Assassin’… and how his wife found out

Kyle Sandilands has been left shaken over claims that he once dated The Chase star Mara Lejins.
The radio king, 54, was shocked to discover that his name was mentioned in relation to a question on the popular Channel Seven quiz show.
Recounting his ordeal on Tuesday, Kyle told co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 50, that he was thrown by a suggestion that he once dated the show’s ‘Smiling Assassin’, 27.
‘I was mentioned on The Chase yesterday,’ Kyle explained. ‘The Chase woman actually brought me up related to a question, but it just really threw me.’
He then replayed the scene from Monday’s episode, where host Larry Emdur asked what the app Raya was primarily used for when it launched in 2015.
When Larry announced the correct answer as ‘dating’, Mara then offered up an extra tidbit about the app.

‘It’s an invitation only dating app, so I know a lot of celebrities use it to make connections,’ she said to which Larry replied: ‘Sounds like you know a lot about it Mara, I’m just saying.’
As she coyly tucked her hair behind her ear, Mara then claimed that she had interacted with Kyle on the dating app.
‘It’s how I met Kyle Sandilands,’ she teased.
A clearly shaken Kyle then said that the claim was even more awkward as he was watching the episode with his wife, Tegan Kynaston, 38.
‘She brings up this accusation about me and I’m watching the show with my wife,’ he explained.
‘She’s [Mara] made out that her and I have been r**ting and my wife’s like: ‘Have you had sex with her?’ and I said: ‘No, I never r**ted her.”
However, the ‘accusation’ did give Kyle pause for thought, given his past lothario lifestyle.
‘Then I looked back and thought: ‘Or have I? I’ve had sex with so many people, I can’t remember who I had sex with,” he said.

After a question about the dating app Raya, Mara claimed that she had once crossed paths with Kyle on the app
Kyle then put paid to the claim, revealing that he has never used a dating app to find romance.
‘I’ve never been on an app. I get my strange in real life,’ he said.
‘I don’t have to trawl around like a desperate on a site.’
Kyle certainly has no need to look for love on apps or in real life after tying the knot with Tegan in 2023 and welcoming their son, Otto, in 2022.
It comes after his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson gave an insight into her working relationship with Kyle after a string of recent on-air spats.
‘Kyle and I have been going head to head a little bit lately, so I will certainly speak up if I don’t agree with what he’s saying,’ Jackie told T Australia, The New York Times Style Magazine.
In a revealing comment, Jackie said she and Kyle were essentially ‘different people’ when it came to their opinions.
She described her longtime business partner as being in the ‘Donald Trump-style camp’ while she was more ‘woke’.
‘It’s to do with all the wokeness,’ she said, referring to their recent on-air fights.
‘(I say to Kyle), just because (someone’s) woke doesn’t mean (they) are extreme or unreasonable, (they’re) just trying to be empathetic.
‘And Kyle leans more into the Trump-style camp.’
