
The Ministry of Health and Population, in cooperation with the Egyptian Health Council, organized a scientific day to introduce and train on the Egyptian guidelines, at the Matareya Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the quality of health services provided to citizens.
This event comes as an affirmation of the Ministry’s commitment to qualifying and training health personnel. At all levels, through advanced and continuous training programs, aiming to empower medical teams with the latest knowledge and skills, which will reflect positively on the level of health care provided.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stressed that this scientific day represents a vital platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge in the field of guidelines, pointing to its role in Enhancing the professional competence of medical staff and standardizing clinical practices.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, reviewed in his speech the efforts made to prepare guidelines, stressing the importance of standardizing medical procedures for each disease case, ensuring the provision of consistent, high-quality health care, and pointed to ongoing cooperation. Between the Ministry and the Egyptian Health Council to develop these guides and apply them in all health institutions, to eliminate differences in the quality of services between hospitals.
Dr. Mohamed Latif, Chairman of the Egyptian Health Council, expressed his appreciation for the Authority’s efforts, stressing the necessity of integrating global guidelines with the local reality of medical services in Egypt, and unifying them across hospitals, and explained that preparing these guides is an ongoing process. It requires periodic updating to keep pace with scientific and medical developments.
The scientific day witnessed open and fruitful discussion sessions with the participation of department heads and doctors, where their proposals were reviewed and their inquiries were answered, which contributed to enhancing interaction and achieving the maximum benefit from Effectiveness.
