EXCLUSIVE: Dacoit: A Love Story (original title Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha), the bilingual action drama starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, will launch across India on March 19, 2026.
The romantic action thriller was originally due to release on December 25, but Deadline understands action block were postponed after Sesh was injured on set while shooting an action scene.
The extra time gives him time to recover and finish the shoot, with the film now releasing as next year’s Eid begins.

The film follows a wrongfully convicted man, who seeks vengeance on the woman who betrayed him after breaking out of prison by exploiting her desperate attempt to save her husband, drawing her into a dangerous web of crime and betrayal. Pic also stars Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni and Zayn Marie Khan among others.
Simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu, the film marks Shaneil Deo’s directorial debut. It’s produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. Telugu-language star Sesh co-wrote the script with Deo.
