The participants have been introduced, the weddings have been conducted, and the drama on this year’s season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) has well and truly begun.
Monday night’s episode saw all nine couples meet for the first time at the inaugural dinner party, and battle lines were drawn — or at least sketched out. The main drama was between Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia, who first clashed at the hens’ night and continued to take digs at one another in their confessionals.
Insiders have told PEDESTRIAN.TV that things only get more explosive from here on out, and the next few dinner parties will be “total chaos”.
“What happens next is next-level. People will be talking about these episodes for decades,” our source teased. “It makes wine-throwing and screaming matches from past seasons look mild. Think tribal council blindsides and chaos that will get international headlines.”
Which MAFS 2026 stars are friends?
Relationship expert John Aiken recently told P.TV that this season will feature a group of dominant women known as “The Boss Babes”. According to John, the unnamed girl squad “lack self-awareness”, “like to be in control”, and are “very blunt with their language”.
“There are about five of them. They band together, and they essentially try to dominate the entire experiment,” he told P.TV. “They go at men, women, anyone who stands up to them. They come at the experts, and they see themselves as being very empowered.
“The language they use at times is really, really hurtful, and some of them just simply walk out. They don’t have any time for the experts whatsoever, and that is a dynamic we haven’t seen before. We’ve had individual rivalries, but nothing en masse like this, and it has a very high school element to it.”
Gia has since confirmed in an interview with Triple M’s Robbie & Carly that she is a proud member of the Boss Babes group, admitting it’s “pretty obvious”. So, who’s in her girl squad?
P.TV’s done some digging and discovered that Gia’s back-up Instagram account (that she’s using while Channel 9 manages her main profile) follows all of her female co-stars, including Bec. In fact, the only people she’s not following are Filip Gregov, Steve Powell, Danny Hewitt, David Momoh and her groom, Scott McCristal — which is a pretty big spoiler if you ask me.
Meanwhile, before she handed over her main account, her posts were mainly being liked and commented on by Melissa Akbay, Rebecca Zukowski and Brook Crompton — so is this our core group?

Who’s in the Boss Babes squad?
Well, Rebecca has confirmed to P.TV that she’s definitely a member of the Boss Babes — although she doesn’t refer to them as such.
“I don’t know where Boss Babes came from. I call us the girl band,” she said. “All I want is peace. I just want the girl band back, do you know what I mean?”
The mum-of-one admitted that there are “a lot of big personalities” amongst the female participants — who she described as “very strong, opinionated women” — but insisted that they were all in the experiment to find love.
“I don’t care what anyone says. All of us women, every single one of us, were there for the right reasons and for love. And I stand by that,” she said.
“Yes, we don’t have to all like each other. Yes, we don’t have to all get on. But I think moving forward, we all need to be a bit kinder in our delivery. And I think all the women were beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Some weren’t my favourite, but beautiful.”
It’s yet to be revealed which brides weren’t Rebecca’s favourite during filming, but it’s worth noting her back-up Instagram account is only currently followed by Melissa, Gia, Brook, Bec, Rachel Gilmore and Julia Vogl.

What about the men?
While everyone’s attention is focused on the relationships amongst the brides, a social media stalk reveals that there doesn’t appear to be any close friendships amongst the men.
Scott’s business Instagram account is only followed by David and Filip; Filip’s gym account is only followed by Grayson and Chris; and it doesn’t look like any of David’s co-stars follow his back-up account.

Speaking about his relationship with his male co-stars, Grayson confessed to P.TV that he purposely distanced himself from some of the grooms during filming after learning about some of their controversial opinions.
“There were a few times where I really misaligned with a number of them, which made me feel quite uncomfortable,” he said. “I guess for me, it just made me kind of question, when we’re taking this absolute plunge into the unknown, how can you have such vast and particular opinions on women?”
He continued: “I just don’t understand how we can’t immerse ourselves in building something from a level of the unknown where we actually don’t know each other… There were a few comments that just didn’t sit well with me, and it was hard for me to digest.”
The reality show might be centred around romantic relationships, but it will definitely be interesting to see how the friendships amongst the participants evolve throughout the season. One thing’s for sure: we’re just getting started.
