The WORST dressed stars at the 2026 Oscars nominee luncheon… from Timothee Chalamet to Rita Wilson
The 2026 Oscar Awards are set for March 15, but on Tuesday, nominees attended the star-studded pre-Oscars lunch – and while some celebrities looked perfect in their ensembles, others totally missed the mark, donning outlandish frocks and bizarre looks.
The big event, which takes place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, saw this year’s contenders descending upon the red carpet before they took their seats.
During the celebratory luncheon, the ‘class photo’ is taken, which features all of the stars nominated for awards.
This year, A-list actors like Timothee Chalamet, Emma Stone, Elle Fanning, Kate Hudson, and Teyana Taylor are all up for prestigious awards.
The 98th Oscar Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.
The awards are often followed by the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscars party.
But with just over a month left before the ceremony, the stars attended the luncheon in a slew of sartorial nightmares and over-the-top outfits.

Drove past the tailor? Actor Timothee Chalamet wore a dark blue, satin pantsuit to the pre-Oscars luncheon, but the ensemble didn’t seem to fit him quite right. The pants were a bit wrinkled, too, as they looked in need of an iron. He completed the look by pairing it with a white, button-down shirt underneath and a pair of black boots
Too much going on! Actress Amy Madigan arrived to the red carpet wearing a loud, Damask-printed gray satin suit. The pantsuit even came complete with a skinny, matching tie. She finished things off with a pair of western-style gray boots and black glasses
Here comes the bride? Rita Wilson looked like she was off to a summer soirée or even a wedding as she sported a white lace shirtdress to the luncheon. She appeared to be wearing a slip underneath the dress, which was sheet at the knees and sleeves. She wrapped it together with a pair of nude suede heels, a white clutch bag, and various gold necklaces
A bit outdated! Actress Rose Byrne wore a black, off-the-shoulder romper to the luncheon, but instead of resembling 2026, it looked more like 2016. The actress wrapped it together with a pair of white heels and chose to forgo any jewelry
Too big! Actor Ethan Hawke wore a pair of blue skinny jeans on the red carpet to the luncheon that appeared much too big for him in the legs. He kept a Western-style theme with a black blazer and gold buttons, white shirt, gold bolo tie, and black loafers
Going back to school? Filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania looked like she was ready for high school as she donned a long, dark gray pleated skirt and oversized gray blazer complete with blue gingham lining on the inside of the sleeves. She paired it with a blue button-down shirt, black heels with a white cap toe, and a white, ruched Miu Miu handbag
Singer Ejae wore a beige-and-black pinstriped suit that appeared to be a bit too oversized on her. The pants flowed all the way to the ground, and the oversized blazer fell past her hips. Underneath, she paired it with a yellow-and-white polka dot silk shirt, and a lace green bra.
A bit boring! Cinematographer Adolpho Veloso wore a brown pantsuit to the big event, and the pants were a bit wrinkled. He completed his look with a pair of dark brown suede dress shoes and small sunglasses
