Melania Trump slammed for making ‘disgraceful’ fashion choice at the Governors Dinner: ‘It’s inappropriate’

She certainly has an enviable wardrobe – but Melania Trump’s latest outfit has left some less than impressed.
The First Lady’s choice of pants had everyone talking as she stepped out at the Governors Dinner in Washington, DC.
Melania, 55, wore $2,395 metallic silver trousers by Dolce & Gabbana, one of her favorite designers, to the black-tie gala on Saturday.
The First Lady paired the cigarette-style brocade pants with a long-sleeve, black tie-neck blouse from the same brand, which retails for $2,245.
An event with a black-tie dress code usually constitutes a floor-length gown for women, according to Vogue.
To bring together her daring ensemble, Melania added sky-high, metallic silver Christian Louboutin heels and large diamond earrings.
Meanwhile, President Trump, 79, opted for a traditional black tuxedo and black bowtie, as he told the Governors that they had done ‘really good work’.
Melania’s ‘inappropriate’ silver pants left fans bitterly divided.
Many seemed to agree that the trousers were not appropriate for the black-tie occasion, as they took to social media to voice their opinions.

‘I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, someone needs to replace her stylist. Black tie doesn’t mean disco ready,’ one person wrote on X.
Another agreed, ‘Inappropriate for black tie.’
‘That outfit is loud and tacky and definitely not black tie. Neither one of them have taste,’ someone else chimed in.
One wrote: ‘Looks like she’s going on a picnic. How disgraceful.’
‘While she looks beautiful (as always), I am old-fashioned and prefer dresses for certain events,’ another wrote.
Others, however, disagreed and came to the First Lady’s defense.
‘Melania is her own unique person! She wears what she wants to wear and likes what she likes. She is not dressing to impress, but rather to express herself. I think she looks wonderful and couldn’t look bad if she tried!’ one person added.
‘I love how she is in these pants for a dinner. They are beautiful and she dresses up and rocks everything she puts on,’ another typed.
