Kyle Sandilands Breaks Silence To Call Out ARN, Apologise To Jackie O & Beg For His Job Back

Kyle Sandilands has shared a statement addressing all The Kyle & Jackie O Show drama, insisting he is not in breach of his contract and apologising to Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
In the lengthy statement, Sandilands took particular issue with ARN, the parent company behind The Kyle & Jackie O Show that announced his suspension over an “act of serious misconduct” stemming from an air-argument with Henderson last month.
“Despite what ARN says, I am not in breach of my contract,” Sandilands said. “I have a contract with ARN that runs until 2034. I am committed to that contract.”
Sandilands called on ARN to “do the right thing [and] honour our agreement” by letting him return to air. He said the rules of his suspension stopped him from contacting Henderson, despite ARN giving him 14 days to remedy the situation before resuming the show.
“ARN told me I am not allowed to contact Jackie. I did what was asked even though it made it impossible for me to do the one thing anyone in my position would do — pick up the phone and talk to the person I have been talking with continually for my entire career,” Sandilands said.
“The truth is that ARN terminated Jackie’s contract on the same day it accused me of a breach. It suspended me from work. All of this happened while I was being told to sit quietly and say nothing. That is not a genuine process,” he added.
Sandilands said he and Henderson “could have sorted out” their disagreement “if ARN had given us the chance”.

Sandilands elaborated on the on-air spat that kickstarted the entire fiasco, saying the clash over Henderson’s fixation on astrology “had been bothering me for a while”.
“I said things I wish I had said differently. That same evening, I sent Jackie a message telling her I was sorry for anything I said that didn’t go down well, that I love her and care for her, and that I could have handled it better. I meant every word of that, and I still do,” he said.
“Jackie and I have worked together for over 25 years. She is one of the most important people in my life. The idea that our partnership could end like this is devastating to me.”
Sandilands mentioned his litany of other arguments with Henderson over the years. “We have had disagreements before and we have always worked through them. That is what partners do. We never needed lawyers or ASX announcements to sort things out.”
“Jackie told me she was hurt, and I accept that,” he said.

The radio personality ended the message by thanking listeners and asking ARN to let him return to “entertaining the people who have supported this show for more than two decades”.
“I’ll be back,” Sandilands said.
It comes days after Henderson denied she had quit the show, despite ARN releasing a statement saying she’d “given notice she cannot continue to work with Mr Sandilands”.
“I want to make one important point very clear: I did not quit or resign,” a rep for Henderson said last week. “This has come as a shock to me, as it has to everyone else.”
The show was taken off the air “effectively immediately” and in the fallout, a bunch of radio personalities weighed in as reports of legal action emerged. Earlier today, speculation grew of an on-air reunion between Sandilands and Henderson.

It all ties back to a February 20 broadcast of The Kyle & Jackie O Show that saw Sandilands criticise his co-host’s interest in star signs, saying it left her being “off with the fairies” and “unworkable”.
The argument reduced Henderson to tears, and she took a leave of absence before ARN released its statement.
The duo, who’d worked together on radio for over two decades, were supposed to remain on-air until the end of their $10 million dollar contract in 2034.
