Unseen footage revealing why Bec Zacharia befriended Gia Fleur ahead of the Final Married At First Sight (MAFS) Dinner Party has sent the controversial bride into tears.
If you haven’t been following along with MAFS 2026, you would argue that Bec and Gia were at each other’s necks (in a weird competitive way) for the majority of the experiment.
Heck, even in an interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, Bec admitted that Gia was her “arch nemesis” throughout the show.
However, towards the end of the season, and at the Final Dinner Party, it appeared that Bec and Gia had suddenly become major besties, and nobody could understand their sudden friendship, including their grooms, Danny Hewitt and Scott McCristal.
But now, in unseen footage that aired on Stan’s MAFS: After The Dinner Party, Bec revealed the real reason why she chose to befriend Gia, and it’s quite bloody sinister.

Why did MAFS Bec and Gia become friends?
In the incredibly spicy footage, Bec revealed that she only wanted to be friends with Gia because she wanted to see “Gia and Scott have it out with each other” at the Dinner Party.
“The only person who was gonna get her here was the friend she had. It was me,” Gia said as Stella Mickunate dropped her jaw.
“She fucked me over, and now you look like a dick, so CYA.”
Watching the unseen footage roll out, Gia also dropped her jaw, sharing that Bec’s true intentions for befriending her made her “sick”.

Now, before we get into the second half of the unseen footage, here’s a mini recap of the Final Dinner Party. You see, Gia arrived alone, as everyone had thought she had left the experiment to return to Melbourne.
As soon as she entered, Bec grabbed Gia and revealed that Scott McCristal had aired out all their relationship woes, and that a majority of their fellow participants were on Scott’s side. After hearing that, Gia was ready to leave the Dinner Party. However, Bec encouraged her to stay, resulting in them coming up with a plan to “out victim” Scott.
Bec even coached Gia on what she should say.
“It’s not about your relationship, it’s about all of Australia,” Bec said.
Anyways, back to the unseen footage on MAFS: After The Dinner Party, Bec continued to explain why she set Gia up.
“No, no, no, you come back and show what your relationship really was,” Bec said in the unseen footage.
“Because I’ve worked on my relationship, you’ve worked on your relationship, but you’ve come for mine. You’ve come for yours. You’ve come for everyone else’s, let’s see what the reality of the situation is,” Bec said.

“The only way to get her there was me,” Bec continued before calling Gia a “bitch”.
“That’s how we started, and that’s how we’re gonna end.”
After the footage wrapped, Gia reiterated that she felt “sick” by what Bec had done to her, admitting that she felt like they were genuine friends in the moment.
“I feel like an idiot,” Gia cried.
“I genuinely thought she was my friend at that point. That’s fucked,” Gia continued.
“Outside of the show, I continued to try to be her friend. Like she was at my birthday, you guys know that.”

While Bec has yet to respond to this spicy piece of unseen footage, the 35-year-old account manager previously told P.TV that she and Gia were no longer friends.
“We actually really did try to form a friendship. We really tried,” Bec told P.TV.
“But unfortunately for me, I had to take a step back from Gia. I sort of blocked all communication from her if I’m honest with you, because I didn’t feel that it was aligning with who I am,” she added before praising Gia for being a “great mother to her daughter”.
I will admit, I am slightly on the fence about how I feel about the whole situation. In a previous episode of MAFS: After The Dinner Party, Gia was outed for “pupeteering” the whole screenshot saga, which saw Juliette Chae abruptly exit the experiment.
Honestly, I just hope all these brides take some time away and heal before jumping into any IG lives, brand deals or podcasts.
This whole shebang has been a hot mess… and I can’t look away.
