Several major train lines in Sydney are experiencing mass delays due to an incident at Lidcombe station.
A passenger stuck on one train told Daily Mail there is a large contingent of police officers at the station.
An announcement was also made over the train’s PA system that the incident involved a fatality.
The station is a major interchange for several Sydney Trains lines and serves many commuters in the inner west and south-west regions.
The T1 Western Line, T2 Inner West and Leppington Line, T3 Liverpool and Inner West Line, T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line, and T7 Olympic Park Line all run through the station.
‘Trains are still running but may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal,’ Transport NSW said in a statement.
‘Passengers are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time, listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.’
