Say it isn’t so! Married At First Sight (MAFS) golden couple Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels have announced the sad news that they’ve officially broken up after almost two years together.
The pair, who actually dated briefly before falling in love on last year’s season of the reality show, shared separate statements on their Instagram Stories on Tuesday afternoon.
“With a heavy heart, I want to share that Jeff and I have decided to part ways. This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Rhi told her followers.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the love we shared and all of the memories we created. Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout our relationship and followed along on our journey. Your kindness means more than you know, and I appreciate your respect and understanding as we move.”
The fitness influencer went on to say that she’s “incredibly grateful” for the love they shared and “all of the memories” they created.

Jeff’s breakup announcement
Meanwhile, Jeff shared a much shorter statement without actually naming his ex — which instantly gives off messy vibes.
“After a lot of thought, unfortunately, my relationship has ended. This has been an incredibly difficult time, and I’m trying to navigate this as best as I can,” he wrote.
“I’m grateful for the memories and genuine love we shared over the years. Thank you for supporting our relationship, being part of our journey and respecting my privacy during this time.”
The writing was on the wall
Rumours had been swirling for weeks about the pair’s relationship status after fans noticed they were no longer following each other on Instagram.
The pair also wiped the majority of their photos together from their accounts and removed each other’s tag, which is often an indication that they’ve blocked each other. PEDESTRIAN.TV had contacted both Rhi and Jeff about the rumours, although they didn’t respond to our request for comment.
The exact timeline of Rhi and Jeff’s split is unknown; however, a week-old post on Rhi’s account has raised eyebrows as it featured a series of indirect self-reflection messages.
One message read, “Choosing relationships that feel calm and safe. Not confusing inconsistency or mixed signals for love”, while another said, “Learning to enjoy my own company. Not needing constant noise, plans or validation to feel okay”.
However, before anyone could kick up a fuss at the time, Jeff did comment on the post with support, simply writing, “love this”.
Rhi and Jeff’s split leaves just five couples still together across the show’s 13 seasons, including this year’s power couple, Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov. Fingers crossed they can go the distance, because I can’t handle another MAFS breakup.
