Television personality Lynette Bolton has undergone surgery to remove a tumour from her breast, six months after her shock cancer diagnosis.
The wife of Sydney Swans dual premiership star Jude Bolton shared the update from her hospital bed on Friday, as she thanked everyone for their support.
‘Lumpectomy done,’ the mother-of-two, 44, captioned the post.
‘Now we play the waiting game waiting on the official pathology results.
‘One thing this journey has taught me is just how loved and supported we can be when we allow people in.
‘Thank you for carrying me through this surgery and through the last six months.’
Her AFL commentator husband paid a heartwarming tribute to his wife in his own post.
‘Surgery done,’ he wrote.
‘So proud of the way you’re still smiling throughout this s***ty experience. You have so much support and love behind you.’

The posts were inundated with messages from well-wishers.
‘Super woman. Super husband. Super family. Super people. Love to you all. You will get through it together,’ AFL commentator Hamish McLachlan said.
The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies added: ‘Warrior woman.’
In April, Lynette shared an image of herself kissing her husband after shaving her head.
‘Choose your partner as if your life depends on it … Because one day it might,’ she wrote.
She told followers it was time to take a confronting next step.
‘I have to shave my head today,’ Lynette explained.
‘My friend Marie brought me over a KFC bucket so I can wear that on my hair. Thanks, babe. It’s really patchy, like it’s really, really patchy.
‘Eviction notice officially served! The boob and I are no longer accepting visitors,’ Lynette posted earlier in the week.

‘And it hurts,’ she said through a veil of tears.
‘It hurts to touch … and it just comes out. I don’t know if you can see that … it just comes out from touching it. It’s time to go.’
Lynette started chemo six days before Christmas after she noticed a lump on her right breast.
‘Countless doctor appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, MRIs, blood tests, breast surgeon and oncology appts later (even a day surgery) AND today I kicked off the first of 12-24 weekly rounds of immunotherapy and chemo,’ she wrote at the time.
‘It’s happened fast. Really bloody fast.’
The television host and event director has appeared on various programs, including Dancing with the Stars, WAG Nation, Oz Travel and Sydney Weekender.
Her husband Jude played 325 games for the Sydney Swans and was part of the club’s 2005 and 2012 premierships.
