Why Ally Really Left Farmer Dylan

Following her dramatic exit, which brought complete chaos to Dylan Scarborough‘s farm, Ally Horsburgh has revealed the real reason why she decided to briefly bow out of the love rodeo.

Emotions are running high amongst our batch as FWAW nears the end of its love fest, and unfortunately, the heat has led to one contestant ditching the shebang.

To give you a quick recap, after returning from her solo date with Dyan, Keeley Boyd admitted to Ally and Scarlett Horizon that they shared a smooch.

For Ally — who’s been tipped to be one of Dylan’s front-runners since day dot — the kiss was too much; as a result, she decided to leave the farm in the dead of the night without telling the rodeo rockstar.

The following day, Keeley and Scarlett were the ones to break the news to Dylan, who was distraught.

After reading a note left by Ally to Dylan — where she declared she’s “not here to waste my time” — the farmer said he was “broken”.

Dylan went on to find Ally, and while he said he was “disappointed”, he did express that he wanted Ally to return.

“I just can’t let you leave,” Dylan said.

“I’ve had a feeling about Ally since the start of this,” he continued in a confessional.

“There’s just something about her that draws me to her. I just can’t let her go.”

Unfortunately, at the end of the episode, Ally does not return, resulting in temporary calm on Dylan’s farm amidst farm farewells.

Why did Ally leave Farmer Wants A Wife?

During her dramatic departure, Ally admitted that she was a “monogamous” gal and the idea of Dylan macking on with another gal hurt (which is valid, but duh, it’s a dating show).

Speaking to New Idea in the present, Ally admitted that she found the kiss “confronting” and that she became “scared”, resulting in her exit.

“In reflection now, I don’t think Dylan did anything wrong,” she told the publication.

“Dylan was there to find his person, and he needed to follow his own process. But I feel like I was at a point where I was very settled in my feelings for him.

“So seeing him explore another connection so late made me realise that perhaps he wasn’t at the same place yet.”

“I found that very confronting, and I became scared. So looking back, I can see that fear definitely influenced my decisions,” she added.

Ally went on to add that during production, she struggled to “face her emotions head on” and that her exit was definitely a moment of “fight or flight”.

“I went in trying my best to be very open because I did genuinely see a future with Dylan, and I had come on there leading with my heart, but also leading with your heart can be very scary, especially when you want to protect yourself from being hurt,” she said.

“It was just so hard, and definitely past wounds come in. I feel like everybody has their own form of baggage or wounds that they are aware of.

“In a situation where it is not monogamous, it can definitely be hard.”

Does Ally come back to Farmer Wants A Wife?

Long story short, yes.

During a teaser for the FWAW annual ‘Black Tie Night’, the farmers and the lovely ladies are rocked with a surprise appearance from Ally, who is donning a sparkly gold dress. In another teaser, Dylan is seen snogging Ally as she returns to the race.
