Top-eight race hots up as Rabbitohs face Storm

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of tonight’s Round 21 clash between South Sydney and Melbourne.

It’s a crucial game in the race to the finals, with the Rabbitohs in seventh place but at risk of slipping out of the top eight if they lose tonight, while the Storm are a couple of wins outside the eight, in 11th place.

Souths are without captain Cameron Murray (calf), back-rower David Fifita (suspension) and centre Tallis Duncan (hamstring), with that trio joining Latrell Mitchell on the sidelines, while Melbourne welcome back Jahrome Hughes but are still missing Cameron Munster and lost winger Will Warbrick to a season-ending Achilles injury last week.

So one of these teams is going to earn a gutsy win tonight, while the other is going to be up against it in the hunt for a finals berth over the next month or so.
