Celebs & Shows Robert Irwin Called Out In His Logies Monologue

Robert Irwin is not only Australia’s unofficial prince, but he’s also the youngest Logies host in history! And alongside his charisma, dance moves and charming smile, Robert made a series of brutal jabs during his opening monologue.

While we all recognise the Wildlife Warrior for his ridiculously good-looking features, love for animals and overwhelming presence, his opening monologue caught us off guard with the amount of ROASTS it had.

Here’s everyone who got absolutely cooked by Robert Irwin’s opening monologue at the 66th Annual TV WEEK Logie Awards.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Alongside being a hunk of spunk and a DWTS US champ, Robert has been hosting Australia’s version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for the last three seasons alongside comedian and fellow Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris on Channel 10.

However, earlier this year, it was announced that I’m A Celeb will officially air on Channel 7, leaving Julia and Robert’s hosting gigs up in the air.

At the start of his monologue, Robert addressed his feelings about the hosting gig and the current state of the entertainment industry.

“I’m a positive guy, which is why I took it at face value when Channel 10 told me that I’m a Celebrity was having a great season, and its future at the network was totally secure. Lesson learnt,” he said.

Karl Stefanovic

Poking fun at one of the biggest exits of 2026, Robert poked the Karl Stefanovic bear, stating that he failed to RSVP for the event despite being nominated for the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter.

“Unfortunately, Karl Stefanovic didn’t RSVP tonight,” he began.

“Which means we didn’t have to hire as many bartenders, but we’ve got him a spare seat, just in case; it’s over there to the right. The far right.”

Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes

ICYMI, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes has been making headlines in the last couple of months over his brutal criticisms of the Albanese government — specifically negative gearing — and his recent confession of pissing in cups.

During his monologue, Robert made a jab at his viral behaviour.

“Apparently Channel Ten is also developing a reboot of Hughesy We Have A Problem, and I think it’s called ‘No Seriously, Hughesy, We Have A Problem,’” Robert said.

Alongside making fun of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Robert also had some bants in the bag for the recent reboot of Network 10’s Big Brother, hosted by Mel Tracina.
