The best and worst dressed at the 2026 Logie Awards: Stars bring the red carpet sex-factor in plunging gowns, splits and plenty of sequins for TV’s night of nights

The Logies red carpet rolled out on Sunday afternoon and Australia’s biggest TV stars came ready to make an entrance – for better or, in a few memorable cases, much worse. 

TV’s ‘night of nights’ descended on The Star in Sydney’s Pyrmont in a blur of sequins, skin, sky-high heels and silhouettes that ranged from seriously chic to seriously questionable. 

There were fashion home runs, a few glorious risks and, naturally, some looks likely to keep group chats busy well into Monday morning. 

So, who nailed it – and who might be having a quiet word with their stylist this time tomorrow? 

Best dressed

Unsurprisingly, real life Logie Sonia Kruger led the night’s sartorial standouts, sashaying her way down the carpet in a figure-hugging bronze number that showed off her enviable curves. 

Word has it the Leah Da Gloria gown left quite the trail in its wake, awkwardly shedding bronze tassels as she made her way along the carpet – but for a look this good, we’d say it was worth the clean up. 

She finished things off with La Oribeli jewels, effortlessly tousled locks and barely-there tan heels, letting the statement gown do all the talking. 

Ageing backwards at 58, Julia Morris also wowed onlookers in a glorious cream creation by Alin Le’Kal. 

The princess-esque gown proved a perfect match for her newly blonde locks and svelte silhouette, with its romantic shape bringing just the right amount of fairytale drama to the carpet. 

Ricki-Lee brought the glamour in a shimmering Diane Lewis Couture creation, with the bold, plunging gown doing all the heavy lifting. Simple cream heels, diamonds and a slick up-do kept the rest of the look polished and pared back. 

Meanwhile, Bachelor alum Bella Varelis proved sometimes simple really is best, slipping into a sultry black gown that let her brunette locks frame her face. Minimal accessories completed the chic glitter-stamped look. 

Andy and Rebecca Harding looked stylish as ever, too – the latter in a beautiful sequined gown with a fun floral hem feature.

Speaking of glam, actress Stephanie Panozzo and the ever-iconic Kerri-Anne Kennerley both delivered in spades, stepping out in slinky silver and hot pink respectively. 

Shortly afterwards, Strife stars Emma Lung and Alex Dimitriades turned heads with an effortlessly slick double act. Emma channelled ’60s bombshell in a chic cream shift dress and retro half-up ‘do – and while it wasn’t quite as formal as some of the night’s offerings, it just worked. 

Eleanor Matsuura and Pia Miranda both looked seriously on-trend, stepping out in a sunshine-yellow sundress and shades, and a slick velvet jumpsuit respectively. 

Both successfully sidestepped the traditional red carpet formula in favour of something altogether cooler and a little more… 2026. 

The sex factor then dialled up considerably courtesy of two of our favourite blondes, Kate Miller-Heidke and Carrie Bickmore. 

Kate opted for understated bombshell in a stunning navy gown, with her blonde tresses worn loose and accessories kept deliberately simple. 

Carrie, meanwhile, had all eyes firmly on her in a curve-hugging leopard-print dress that brought some serious va-va-voom to the carpet. A smoky eye and statement overlined lip finished off the sultry look. 

Then came Catriona Rowntree and, oh my, what a look. 

The Getaway star looked absolutely breathtaking in a perfectly fitted scarlet gown, complete with a structured corset, cinched belt and gloriously voluminous skirt.

Her hair was swept back into a sleek, modern bun, while sparkling silver heels added the finishing touch. Elegant, dramatic, old-school glamour.

Worst dressed 

Of course, where there are red carpet triumphs, there are always a few fashion misfires – and this year’s Logies delivered.

From baffling silhouettes and questionable colour choices to looks that simply had far too much going on, not every star managed to nail it.

Some were victims of an ambitious idea that didn’t quite translate, while others left us wondering whether a last-minute mirror check might have been warranted.

Teetering dangerously between best and worst dressed, actress Philippa Northeast ultimately failed to make the cut in a pink tasseled number that overwhelmed her petite frame. 

While playful in theory, the unusual neckline proved tricky in practice – particularly from the side – leaving the whole look feeling a little more fussy than fabulous. 

A similar fate befell Johanna Griggs and Catherine Murphy, who were both let down by awkward necklines that did little justice to their otherwise flawless figures. 

Elsewhere, presenter Abbey Gelmi and actress Hailey Pinto appeared to miss the red carpet memo entirely, each stepping out in a look better suited to a cocktail party or beachside disco than TV’s night of nights. 

There’s no denying both women looked fabulous, but their eye-popping ensembles felt a little too party and not quite enough Logies – fun, flirty and fabulous, just perhaps for another occasion. 

Andy Allen also suffered a rare fashion fail, with the celebrity chef skewing more daggy than dapper in an oversized velvet suit and droopy bow tie. 

The relaxed tailoring swallowed his frame, while the slightly sad-looking tie did little to sharpen things up – a rare sartorial misstep from the usually polished star. 

Deborah Knight appeared less than comfortable in a plunging green-gold maxi dress, while Asher Keddie’s otherwise lovely silver gown was let down by two awkward front slits that stopped abruptly at the knee. 

She was followed by Alicia Loxley, whose satin bra top and flowing bohemian-style skirt felt more Balinese holiday than Logies red carpet. 

Amanda Keller, meanwhile, took one of the night’s bigger fashion risks in an oversized pale blue suit. The cool-girl hair and sheer shirt were fun additions, but the OTT look was ultimately let down by fussy floral appliqués and trousers that ran just a touch too long. 

Then came Sophie Monk who, while always a knockout, veered a little too far into lingerie territory in a sheer lace gown that left very little to the imagination. 

Of course, fashion is subjective – and half the fun of the Logies red carpet is watching Australia’s biggest stars throw caution to the wind and take a risk. 

Some paid off spectacularly, others perhaps looked better on the mood board, but in a sea of safe black gowns, we’ll always have time for someone willing to give us all something to talk about. 

And if we’re honest, being boring might just be the biggest fashion crime of all.
